Forrest Frank Dates The Jesus Generation Album for Dec. 4, With a 2027 Film

On 28 October 2026, Forrest Frank announced The Jesus Generation, an album due 4 December. Church Leaders, Billboard and CCM Magazine each reported the album on 28 October.

The film was announced first, on 23 October according to Church Leaders, with the first trailer reported by Relevant on the same date. The album therefore arrives about six weeks after the film was introduced, and the two are being promoted together.

Album Dated for 4 December on River House Records

Billboard and CCM Magazine both give 4 December 2026 as the release date and River House Records as the label. Church Leaders also gives 4 December. The album follows a May 2026 single that shares its name, and Billboard reports that Jesus Is Alive from that month was Frank’s second No. 1 on the Hot Christian Songs chart. Church Leaders reports more than 4.2 billion streams since his 2024 EP Child of God and 6.9 million Instagram followers. Frank has five Dove Awards and three Grammy nominations, according to Church Leaders and Billboard.

Collaborators named across the album are Lecrae and KB, JVKE, Michael W. Smith, ZVC and Elevation Rhythm. Church Leaders says nine tracks were previewed. Frank asked his Instagram followers to vote on which track would be released as a single on Friday, 30 October. Church Leaders and CCM Magazine give that Friday as the release day for the chosen track, while Billboard says new music from the album is set to release that day.

Cory Asbury, one of the tour’s supporting acts, is quoted in Church Leaders’ report. He credits Frank with reminding him that ministry need not lead to cynicism.

The 2027 Tour Film and Its Open Details

The film is titled The Jesus Generation Movie in Church Leaders, The Jesus Generation Tour Movie in Billboard and CCM Magazine, and The Jesus Generation in Relevant. Relevant describes it as a documentary about the tour. Church Leaders says the trailer includes behind-the-scenes footage and live performances from the tour, and it is scheduled for theaters in 2027.

Relevant reports that the tour began on 1 June at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, ran 29 cities and ended with a sold-out finale at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, with more than 35,000 attendees. It puts total attendance above 519,000 across about two months, and describes the tour as the biggest Christian music tour in history. Pollstar ranked the tour No. 5 on its LIVE75 chart in late June, according to Relevant. Church Leaders says Pastor JP Pokluda, of Harris Creek Baptist Church in Waco, Texas, served as evangelist and shared the gospel each night.

Relevant names Rick Rubin, Philip Anthony Mitchell and Sadie Robertson among the appearances, and says no director or release date has been announced. Relevant names Lionsgate as distributor. Holler Country says Lionsgate produced the film and reports that the trailer shows Frank and Jelly Roll hugging backstage. Billboard and CCM Magazine say it is distributed through Lionsgate and Kingdom Story Company.
