Daniel Jones suffers Achilles injury in shocking Colts blow

Colts quarterback Daniel Jones went down with a non-contact Achilles injury to his right leg at the end of the first quarter against the Jaguars on Sunday.

Jones, 28, suffered the injury as he fell awkwardly while throwing.

The former Giants quarterback slammed his helmet to the ground in frustration while grabbing his ankle area and was quickly ruled out for the rest of the game.

Jones had been playing through a fractured fibula in his left leg.

He was 5-for-7 with 60 yards and an interception in the game.

This season, Jones has completed a career-high 67.9 percent of his passes while throwing for 3,101 yards, 19 touchdowns and eight interceptions.
