Red Sox signing Ranger Suarez to $130 million contract in free agency blockbuster

The Red Sox have made their first major splash following the departure of Alex Bregman.

Boston has agreed to a deal with All-Star left-hander Ranger Suarez, The Post’s Jon Heyman first reported.

The longtime Phillies pitcher’s deal is for five years and worth $130 million.

The contract does not come with any deferrals, Heyman added.

Suarez, 30, went 12-8 with a 3.20 ERA over 26 starts for Philadelphia last season.

He made his first career All-Star team the year prior in 2024, when he posted an identical 12-8 record with a 3.46 ERA.

Suarez solidifies Boston’s rotation behind ace Garrett Crochet alongside fellow offseason acquisitions Sonny Gray and Johan Oviedo.

This is a developing story. Check back for more information.
